Wednesday afternoon, Phoenix Labs announced via Twitter that it’s offering a first look into its upcoming Mastery system for Dauntless, a free-to-play monster-hunting action RPG game. It briefly summarizes what fans can expect from the Mastery system’s gameplay changes then provides in-depth information about its key features. Dauntless’s Mastery system update is scheduled to drop to players on April 24, 2019.
The Mastery system preview introduces us to Mastery Cards, what they’re used for, and how to unlock them. Players will be able to unlock Mastery Cards by crafting new weapons and encountering Behemoths across the Shattered Isles. Each Mastery Card will be specific to an individual weapon or monster and feature a list of challenges you must complete to receive any rewards associated with your Card.
